Girls on the bridge – Edvard Munch 1899

The Virgo-Libra Cusp is a unique cusp that occurs at the end of Virgo and the beginning of Libra, from September 19 to September 25. This cusp person can exhibit traits that are very difficult to understand, as they lie between the backdrop of Libra’s softness and emotionalism and Virgo’s logic and rationality.

'...we suffer more often in the imagination than in reality.'  ~ Seneca

Girl in green dress that sets off a red head’s fiery nature – In contemplation, viewing the passage of the river and time. Russet dressed lass in the middle holding her head high – uninvolved. Lost dreams mourned with bowed head averted, Scarlet letter of shame mocking the bridal white of the third girl’s dress. On the path leading from the bridge, a black and white house commands the landscape, Near enough to contain the many dreams of the sisters: combined and lost. Trees screen the house with their protective green. Heavenly blue canopy: the cusp of aspirations, Ending the reign of Virgo in favour of Libra. Blue sky is the limit, completing the trio on the colour chart of light. Reflection, as in the water, is always a shade darker than reality; Imagination colours perspective. Drowning in the river of circumstances, Growing anxious as time lapses, Ending up not facing the inevitable square on.

Suzette, congratulations on your win as you delve into the souls of the girls and their relationship to the river, the house and the sky. "Ending the reign of Virgo in favor of Libra." Ending perfectionism to embrace balance. Nicely stated! Blessings!

" river of circumstances, Growing anxious as time lapses, Ending up not facing the inevitable square on" - I am new to his paintings. You have illustrated the scene beautifully. Congratulations!

Suzette, what I glean from your poem is the need for us to face "the inevitable square on" while at the same time being open to the possibilities of the future. Congratulations on your placement in Dilly Dally’s contest.
