Of all the tattoos etched into my skin
There’s one that intrigues me the most,
And that’s this tat from a few years ago,
This tat of a little white ghost.
You see, every night when I drift off to sleep,
On my skin it tours all ‘round,
From my arms to my back to my leg, thigh and hip,
It tours without making a sound.
And his quirky behavior, mannerisms and traits
Remind me of people I’ve known,
People I’ve known throughout my short life,
Now buried beneath a headstone.
This tattoo of a ghost calms down my soul,
Calms me whenever I’m stressed,
Today he’s gently relaxing my mind,
On top of my heart on my chest.
