sigh ...
it must be nice ...
to ripple the waters, so-to-speak
to leave in a blaze of glory
and affect change in doing so
I admire that courage -
that determined strength that can move on
and sever those friendships that
in the grand scheme
are the true reason we stay
then again ...
for some of us it is more
than just the agony of losing a comrade
or the loss of their kindness
and heartfelt encouragement
it is a painful reminder
that should we choose to do the same
(in the shadows of like treatment)
no one would even
notice.
