Means demanding nothing in return. In that space, satisfaction is earned You do not go about hunting for love. That unique space, like a tender glove. Genuine respect, then walks your way. False flattery, never holds any respect, For your heart has the eyes of an eagle. Sparkling bright as stars, they do twinkle. 5/25/2023

Brilliant , truthful and to the point verses my friend. I in my youth was hardnosed about running that of false fool off, away from me. Poets are honor bound to do so imho.Your verses hit the mark very well. A av..

Good afternoon Robert. False flattery is so apparent …its cookie cutter comments repeated to each poet. New poets are read, old friends go in the trash bin? (Usually are a weak poets) honor is an applicable noun. Glad, so glad you’d back. There is no rule here to read new poets. I looked back, I was rarerly read. So what? Comments do not a pioet make, but far too many think so. Thus their name is at each poem saying nothing. Nobody is perfect but God. Merci for the moving comment and Fav. Love, Panagiota xx

Amazing that liars seem to believe they are the real friends. Au contraire. Real friends would not need to lie. Poignant, Pangie. ~;o)

True freindship, indeed, Pangie. I like these quotes on flattery…Flattery is saying something nice in order to help yourself, encouragement is saying something true in order to help someone else. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness—Oscar Wilde (A compliment to that person) ;)Me being the mediocre of course!

Hey, Ayana! Maybe I am nutty but I see lying in comments many times, I mean certain poets drool over any poem. That’s crazy. I only know a few like that, thank heavens. You? Are the real deal, Ayana. You danced with the phonies here and learned your lesson, as I did. Oh, lord, you are far from mediocre! Read your own poetry! It’s fabulous.I love real people here. I prefer that to being a groupie. I have never been one, I won’t sell my soul to be popular……..that’s a tragedy! Wishing you belief in your own shining greatness… Love, Pangie
