Genius and Insanity

Genius and insanity skip through life hand in hand Grinning and dazzling each other with outrageous ideas Loving the way others come around with shock and awe Ask Rembrandt, Michelangelo, Edison and Robin Williams. Just a tiny few of my favorite inventors, philosophers and artists. Genius and Insanity rock our world; we cannot squelch them. They are openly wild, weird and wonderful. I chase both as they skip through life, hand in hand! Sometimes catching them in a poem or on a canvas. It is enough, it has always been enough. You are crazy! My friends tell me. Ultimate compliment, my genius muse replies.

Seen so clearly in Robin Williams, genius and insanity can coexist for a while. Sooner or later, though, the bubble bursts. At least that's how it seems to me, as I'm neither a genius nor insane. ~ Still Happy, Somehow

I think it sometimes is never caught; anyway I am hoping.

Such an interesting point. The fine line which separates genius from insanity and how one is to know the difference sometimes. I say tip toe up to the genius line but try not to cross over. Tip toe just in case you slip over, maybe no one will notice.

I think we all cross the lines sometimes, but usually accidentally, wondering which side we are on.

I don't think you are crazy, Caren. You have the most vivid, creative mind, full of energy and pizzazz. A true genius, if you ask me, and you didn't!

Thank you my friend, I take a small bow and Trixie pushes me over and takes full credit.
