A lot of heavy verbiage, but the connections come when one slows down to read and savor. My favorite part is "they receive efforts swept by short floods to need a change of methods" ... our minds can do so much when they are challenged! And I think you think along the same lines. Cool way to re-shape the limerick into something more metaphysical.
