Garnished Martini

Clinging rhythms from musical styles ignites my desire. Can you dim the red lights? I crave a sense of cashmere danger, It smells of peace and warmth, pleasure and vibrations, placing me in a butterfly zone. Yet I hesitate to express my feelings on paper. Never want to get caught. Luxury! Dining amidst wild jewelry, shoes, and faint black dresses while I stand before a mirror, a glance game of goddesses. It soothes my thoughts. My nasty smile. I seek those side dishes with echoing flavours. Rolling my eyes as they slide down my throat. The only liquid I’ll trade for water is you. What else quenches my inner fire? Just like savouring steaks! I'll munch and get my lips stained. That’s the amount of juice you bring to my surface. Nothing brings more calm than those suspenseful Korean visuals we watch together, reflecting our desires. The chokes of laughter that freezes my brain. My brown eyes, deep and thoughtful, gaze into your soul, Embracing each moment. Yesterday was Jasmine, today is lavender, Honey, could you send marigolds tomorrow? Their scent brings me closer to nature’s gentle mercies. At last! The hugs from behind, the cuddles, I dream about it. Call me spoiled, only by you but I’ll always crave those too, HoneyBae.

Love this very sensuous poem, so dreamy and expressing passionate and seductive emotions. "Yesterday was Jasmine, today is lavender, Honey, could you send marigolds tomorrow? Their scent brings me closer to nature’s gentle mercies." You really wish to be in 'a butterfly zone' swinging in the tides of romance. Let me repeat....Tonye you are so gifted.

Dear Tonye, I was entranced by the dreamy, sensuous quality of your exquisite imagery and rich metaphor. Word pairings like "Cashmere danger", "butterfly zone", "faint black dresses", "game of goddesses" and "lips stained" enhance the beauty and sensuality of your poetic verses, especially "At last! The hugs from behind" - delicious, intimate, passionate thoughts flow with ease from your sizzle-pen to caress the page (and my heart's imagination) so lovingly! Warmest wishes my friend, your artistry shines! .. ~Susan

Tonye, the way you describe desire reflects passion unbridled. I like how you admit some vanity and use images to create a sense of the depth of feeling and craving. The disclaimer about not wanting to be caught adds to the suspense of what comes next. The feelings we have on this subject tend to overwhelm, but you seem to have this all under control. You are making me smile inside right now--a feeling of happiness that comes from seeing something real. Thanks!

Awwwn how sweet honeybae! Thats cute! I love your use of alliterations here and how youv expressed such deep and sincere emotions in the most eloquent manner dear beautiful tonye! Cashmere danger stood out for me as well as how youv written “ Yet I hesitate to express my feelings on paper. Never want to get caught.” same , one reason why i hide behind metaphors! And even if you did get caught, those thoughts youv expressed in a sensual and passionate manner truly is deserving of all d accolades. Made me miss my boo! Love it

You always find your way through my metaphors though and I think that's the best part. When you make it so difficult and somehow it is understood. It means that there was a lot of pondering in reading and understanding. Your writing makes me miss a lot of imaginary boos. Hahaha. Thank you, Dearest Ink. Hugs.

Your poem, Toney, is truly captivating as it delves into the profound yearning and longing for opulence, indulgence, and intimacy within a relationship. It explores themes of desire, pleasure, sensuality, and the beauty of ordinary moments. The language employed is luxurious and evocative, painting vivid images of opulence and indulgence through phrases like "cashmere danger," "wild jewelry," "savoring steaks," and "suspenseful Korean visuals." The poet utilizes metaphorical language to liken the speaker's emotions to being in a "butterfly zone" and the intense arousal brought about by the poem's subject.
