Furrows - Sf

Furrows stretch to the horizon A picture painted in straight lines His plow the brush, the earth his palate- Row on row it goes He bleeds upon the soil and his reward comes, but not without sweat and strain.. But paint he will and plow he will, and of his life he does not complain... He and the birds have an understanding... They gather in his wake to feast on the riches uncovered each day.. Old friends who come to eat and play. A patchwork quilt that stretches as far as the eye can see., spread on a brown landed sea

nice rustic imagery in this one; it reminds me of a certain painting by van gogh, not sure what it's called, 'the sower' or something like that...congrats on your win! :)

Barbara, this is an amazing poem on an artist and his painting of a farmer and the fields. It almost seemed like the painter was also the plower of the field. Was he? Congrats on your win.
