Full Moon Rant

Your painful revelations have left me drained and cold. The bloom of the rose has not only wilted but it has Become dried and brittle like the meaning of your words. Your deep voice, now, condemns my every action. When you are not feeling well you want the world to Suffer with you. I am but one of those marked for rage. Your hubris knows no end, as casualties lie in your wake. Negativity emanates from you like rain pouring from a dark cloud, soaking all within your vehement radius. You have become dark matter to me, that doesn’t matter! A black hole whose density sucks everything in to be crushed. Your self-righteous attitude repels all who try to please you. Sadly, Father’s Day there will be silence for you to reflect upon. Shall we blame your cruelty and indifference on the full moon? 6-15-19 Move me Premier Contest ~8th Place~ Sponsored by: Richard Lamoureux | Happy Father’s Day to all you Good Fathers!

A warlord of love whom wars upon lost wishes of innocence...I'm gripped by the cogent and honest clarity of this poem Poetess. This poem is powerful because it provokes self assessment with a loving sting...J.A.B.

Connie, I LOVE this rant. It sure beats one of my several crazy Prolia rants. I think you used some great images in here too. Loved the line about dark matter that doesn't matter!

"The bloom of the rose has not only wilted but it has Become dried and brittle like the meaning of your words." - I thought, "Boy, you are telling someone!" and you sure did! Nicely written for sure. Sad too.

You are so funny WW. The site was down when I had time to be on it, now my son and family are visiting from Santa Barbara and I have little time this week. Yes, I am at it again in my battle with the full moon. Thanks my friend! I hope you had a great father's day. : ) xxoo

No, we can't blame the moon, a mere scapegoat. This "father" will suffer all alone in that silence. Sometimes there is no greater punishment than a cutoff of communication. He'll learn. Awesome take on Fathers' Day, Connie. A fave for me. Hugs, Carolyn

A poem very deserving for lacking fathers to meet - heartbreaking that it was on fathers day - don't want to speak out of turn, hopefully this is fiction and not the truth. All my love and thoughts Connie, Jennifer.

This is so heartfelt and real life tragic..when a father is deserving of harsh words. No one can write them easily..no one wants to be in that place..but it is real life for many.. and your poem Connie gives them voice and ..lets them know they are not alone to feel this way. Kudos for this courageous write.

Connie,,my Dad went to heaven years ago. One of latest poems is about him in heaven. There are some horrid fathers still on earth. ,And not all mothers are angels, either.Children are the sons and daughters of God. And can survive the turpitude of the worst parenting. Panagiota

Yes, being a father is much more difficult than sticking one's thumb in the pie! The marks poor father's leave on their children are more visible than a tattoo! Let us hope more fathers read your rant (and die with honour)! Aloha! Rico

The most valuable lesson I learnt from my father was to never be like him. Still I wonder what I would have been like as a father had I not had a wife who did not tell our children what to do, but continued asking questions until they arrived at an "approved" decision by their own thinking! Aloha! Rico

Thank you very much Rico. Not all fathers are compassionate and loving. Those are the ones who don't deserve a happy Father's Day. : )
