Frozen Midnight
I will bend you slow into a sonnet
bated breath hidden in a small locket
Will my soul ever feel like this again?
It’s like slowly freezing in the ocean
A brand new color on the horizon
peacefully asleep, why heal the broken ?
A shy first dance of sky blue and spun gold,
echoing wind and a mouth left ice cold
Parched lips with a whisper that is empty,
your painted eyes a gentle remedy;
The moan drips slowly in every rhyme
I have locked you forever, frozen time
I can taste you in each word that I write
My mouth is stained with your scent at midnight.
