Seems Like Yesterday She Was In My Womb
Her death came too soon as she lay in a tomb,
her innocence stolen at just three days old-
Seems like yesterday she was in my womb.
When she was born my heart was definitely sold,
for she had these beautiful big brown doe eyes-
Her innocence stolen at just three days old.
The doctor came in and told us all lies,
he said she’d heal within a few more days-
For she had these beautiful big brown doe eyes.
The last time I held her I was in a haze,
I held her tiny hand and never wanted to let go-
He said she’d heal within a few more days.
I’ll never get to see her fragile body grow,
I’ll never get to see her meet a boy and get married-
I held her tiny hand and never wanted to let go.
After her last breath, her body I carried,
Her death came too soon as she lay in a tomb-
I’ll never get to see her meet a boy and get married,
seems like yesterday she was in my womb.
