Dear Line, This is a very positive poem about true friendship. Unfortunately I agree with Jennifer, true friends can be quite rare. You can usually count them on one hand. Too many of my "friends" have often been focused on their needs and how at that time I can help meet them: emotionally, financially, etc.

Sad to think - made so many friends along the way as my father was an Army Officer and we traveled a lot and even once we arrived in South Africa and I got married, we traveled and lived in several destinations, I hope that this is our last move, we got very tired. My husband lost his best friend 6 months ago. Enjoyed your poem as I feel true friends are rare. Have made some wonderful friends on this poetry site. Hugs Jennifer.
