Perfect Sara. I'm faving it. The science of how snow absorbs sound is fascinating, and you've captured it perfectly. :)

I bet that science is fascinating...I guess that absorption creates the profound silence associated with snow..thanks for your kind words...enjoy your evening, Sara

Your Monoku is exquisitely constructed, eloquently capturing the ethereal allure of snow. The ensuing tranquility it evokes is both serene and profound. Admire the pristine snowfall as it gracefully blankets the ground, forming a plush tapestry of pure white.

thanks for your lovely comments, dear Sotto. I agree..I admire the pristine nature of falling snow...falling gracefully to the ground. Watching it soothes and grounds me. Hope you have a pleasant weekend, your poetess friend in Texas, Sara

Love the virgin snow as it falls and creates a thick carpet of white. Then the silence it brings is so peaceful and still. Tom PS, still waiting for it here although other parts of the uk have had some.

I do too, Tom...something peaceful about the silence and snow, soft as sleep...only a thin layer of snow here...we may not get any this year...which is fine with me...ready for spring. Have a pleasant day, Sara

Such a powerful image of quiet --- leaves me screaming in agony. (I 'love snow' -- in the 'not sense.') Smile, Gershon
