Fresh Feast

Fresh Feast Beneath the water Swimming in the deep lagoon Fearless reptiles search each day Wanting precious prey, Power jaws and thrashing tails Kill while victims weep and wail. Alligator's feast-- When all babies have hatched out, Hatchlings hunt and swim about Mother watching near Floating leaves attract her young. Basking asleep in the sun. © Dane Ann Smith-Johnsen January 17, 2010 Poetic form: Choka

Nice piece about wildlife. In NYC the beaches are alligator and crocodile free. There are other problems of course but the beaches here are usually pretty safe - except for the times when the surf gets very rough. Keep 'em coming! Peace and Blessings Matthew Anish
