Freedom Within

Freedom can be found within you When you let go of what binds you Maybe a purpose, you once sought That only leads to doors closing Recognizing time spent was ok then But maybe, not so much for now When you release yourself from things That are not working anymore To see the difference between a challenge And something that truly cannot happen But it is surely far from giving up I guess it is to know when to stop And to know when to start new again Something fulfilling and peaceful Something that reaches far or near Something that is attainable Bringing simple calmness within you Not a rush or a fight or battle from inside Even when your strength plays tricks, As if you can do more than you can do Freedom comes from deciphering What means most to us, adjusting to changes All in time, being true to ourselves Letting go and then re-discovering That something special, that sets your soul free Heidi Sands 5/19/20 Received Poem of the day

As evidenced in the Serenity Prayer, "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the thinks I can And the wisdom to know the difference."
