Freedom, But Alone

I walk through the world with open air, the weight of the past finally lifted. No chains, no voices calling my name— just space to breathe, to be, to exist. The silence is mine now, the kind that feels freeing, but with it comes a quiet emptiness, a loneliness I didn't expect. I am free, but I am alone, and somehow, they feel like the same thing. The world is wide, but I don't have anyone to share it with. I can go where I please, but the freedom feels a little colder without someone beside me. It's a strange kind of peace, the freedom that leaves you with nothing but the echo of your own footsteps.
