Free To Be
I have avoided my friends for a month
Choosing myself in every way,
I have focused on the best of myself,
My creative, fun-loving, happy side.
Doing what I want
When I want
In my own way
Without suggestions or compromise
The wants of others not entering into my plans
In the least
Not kidnapping me
Or enticing me
Or changing my path
I have been gloriously selfish
For a month
Free to be
Completely, utterly
Do whatever you want me
Life is grand!
