Free People

As free brothers, we live love and acceptance. For this truth, we do sharpen our weapons. Free people live in no kingdom’s shadow accepting they deserve less somehow. Free men may lance the loft of sky with no fear of reprisal’s rival design. Free men may dream in endless supply with no fear of reality demanding they lie. Free to form no answer to no question asked by no one; free to act no action as not ordered to by someone; brothers succeed, brothers fail, and all is well, because either way is theirs to freely detail. ... I liked the poem as a good read. Nicely put, passionately written with poetic flare. The poem has a message of love and delivers it well, Emile.

CayCay, we seem to appreciate freedom more when we have to fight for it. I feel blessed to live in a free country, though it appears some of our freedoms are being eroded by leaders in Washington. And we do have both successes and failures when we act as free people. Your poem is thought-provoking and very well composed. It gave me something to think about, so it goes to my faves.

Thank you, Carolyn, for such uplifting comments. We have generation after generation either neglecting or failing to learn from the past where it has all played out before. I know there is much good, but good is quiet. I appreciate you. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
