Four Walls 3

The house with the haunted four walls, Scary stories told! Children drawn there, Curiosity! Three boys remained, Wondered why! Friends had not returned, And what had happened to them? They all started to panic, Stories must have been true, Four walls must have trapped them, Who were the cowards now? The boys who went in, Or the boys who were left behind, Deciding what to do next, They all had ideas but which would work, Going in together, Would be safer in numbers, Or so they had thought, It was just starting to get dark, They entered! Down the same hall way, Towards that room, Opening the door, One! Two! Three! All entered, The darkened room, The room was empty, But the amazing thing! Hundreds and hundreds of names, Written all over the walls, The walls were famous for the signed names, Names of all the brave boys, Who had entered before? But where did the boys go, Out of the back door and home, The house had not been haunted, Neither the walls, The amazing thing is, The stories had attracted children, For generation after generation, It was just an old empty house, That nobody wanted, Lonely but famous, Not for the entrapment, But for the graffiti of names, Written out of fear.

I tend to think there is a grain of truth in haunted houses. Some are more sensitive and can sense spirit activity. I like the idea of the boys leaving their names on the wall giving them a kind of badge of courge. I enjoyed this Wendy. #7
