Four Excuses Never Forgotten

Not Today Sorry I can't. If I had more notice. Maybe next time. Only one noticed his face fall, but she stuck by her decision anyway not thinking it would make any difference. Four excuses Never forgotten, although it has been twenty-one years now. Because there was No next time. If one had stayed, it might have made a difference. But none did.

Suicide is what I was thinking; I believe it is in every family. Sometimes murder-suicide actually. But you are definitely on the same wave length I was when I wrote this.

It always kills me - not literally of course - how people at a funeral will recall the last time they saw them, the last thing they said, sometimes haunting themselves with this for years for no reason at all.

Hi Caren, excuses must be true, so we can excuse ourselves for a genuine reason, this come across well, but after excusing ourselves deliberately for the same old, same old, this spoils a relationship! Poetry hugs, Jennifer.

Thank you Jennifer. I drop friends along the way who do not understand "when I want to see you, it was five minutes ago."
