Form Filling

Where is your pain on a scale of 1 - 10? I hesitate before answering... (Fiction: as no one has asked) Perhaps bodyscan - where does it hurt? Do you recall what happened? How did you get here? Do I swim in and out of consciousness... Is that rhetorical? It's all rhetorical. Unanswered as I forget.

This is weird for the last few days I’ve been perhaps on a 8 out of 10 with a nerve flare up in tooth, yesterday is a blur as I was on some weird pain medication, so I forget how bad it was, but I see the very clever wording you used here to fill in the form rhetorically, can I borrow it for next time I have to fill in some stupid questionnaire, oh and the captcha is SAD I’ve screen shot it as proof, for all non believers out there lol! The brain is a funny place - that's the marvel of poetry, I'd never remember the intensity of a situation if I didn't write about it in the moment (and who knows if that's a good or bad thing). I have captured pure joy too though :) I quite liked my retrospective title for this one - a bit of a pun on taking shape again after something bad happens and figuring out who you are. We always appear on the other side - sometimes imperceptibly changed. Good luck with the tooth! I never gauge high on pain thresholds, well not yet. I just move from seeing how it goes to doing something about it lol. I literally said I'll see how I go with child birth and a broken wrist (separately!) - although I did a lot of complaining about a wisdom tooth haha
