Forgotten Souls
"Forgotten Souls"
peering outsisde a clouded window
thoughts escape as empty dreams die
enclosed in corridors of endless flow
my essence ponders reasons why
I am a forgotten soul
a child lying alone in a hospital
until Death takes its toll ...
staring beyond lace curtains adorning clean glass
days and nights evolve into a maudlin routine
quality of Life deteriorates as Time will pass
once vitality was so pristine
I am a forgotten soul
a Senior cast aside spending "golden years" in tarnish
until Death takes its toll ...
