Forgotten Souls

"Forgotten Souls" peering outsisde a clouded window thoughts escape as empty dreams die enclosed in corridors of endless flow my essence ponders reasons why I am a forgotten soul a child lying alone in a hospital until Death takes its toll ... staring beyond lace curtains adorning clean glass days and nights evolve into a maudlin routine quality of Life deteriorates as Time will pass once vitality was so pristine I am a forgotten soul a Senior cast aside spending "golden years" in tarnish until Death takes its toll ...

A beautiful poem, however, my experience many senior are not really cast aside, its just too painful to visit those that no longer know themselves or others, or cannot talk or think. Memories of better years are best kept intact. Just another side to this issue... Well done. Lee
