Forgiveness

to forgive is within me even forgetting lives there but memory works differently all I hear is 'beware', 'tread carefully' and I zone out... before I know it, the avoidance is the problem and I'm lost, more lost than ever so much forgetting means the issue is disappeared so I'm just in the void of not being walking some line I don't know about unable to enjoy the good or discern the bad memory picks out all my flaws tattoos them onto my eyelids, lest I forget I wish to cast my forgiveness into the clouds let it fall as rain and I'll get drenched to be reborn, washed clean of the way I feel today

forgiveness is so powerful...I find my ego doesn't always embrace forgiveness. My memory remembers pain and wants me to tread lightly. I have to learn to let go. I found these lines quite powerful: memory picks out all my flaws, tattoos them on my eyelids--a powerful image. Well done, Di11y! have a splendid evening, Sara

Ah i love this and for some reason smiled too, as im the complete opposite of this and i need friends like you in my real life to remind me somethings, like “ tread carefully” etc. I absolutely love your take on forgiveness. You’ve kept it real. My sister always says to me” forgive but dont forget, remember to remember “ which is so true and needed as i can be bit naive. Loved this one! Best wishes for the contest

Forgiveness is a complicated matter, it feels so good to cast off the bad feeling that it's easy to forget that it'll likely come around again if nothing changes. Thanks for your thoughtful comment x
