Forest Fires
Forest fire engulfs a fleeing deer
Ignited by some John Doe.
Raging heat and smoke, life denied
Engulfing the innocents to die.
Nature as no defence when fire comes to call
tree or creature doomed to be turned into charcoal .
At man's command acres burnt, life choked
Nature wounded facing an uncertain crossroads
Fire and flames respect no borders
Buildings burning, engulfed barns
Created by nature or man made all burn.
blazing like a devils cauldron broils
And just for the sake of a ember off a barbecue
or the smouldering smokers butt.
