Foreshadow

I
Saw
The Eagle float above
The
Bluff
That
He called home
And
When he turned And
Soared away
I
Sighed,
And saw the reason
Why.....
For on this bluff
Above the river
Now built into the cliff
A
House of sticks
Resided where
The
Eagles
Ruled
.....Adrift

James, I love the flow and feel of this poem. - and the multiple meanings in the word adrift. Well done. We need to protect the habitats of these amazing winged creatures. Check out my poem Adrift - a very different theme. Krista

Love the expressivesness and descriptivesness of this one,James. My poem "Poetry In State Of Development" is an unfinished work about a lighthouse that was standing during the Civil War and still stands today but I am having trouble saying what I want to say. Might have to remove it. Sara
