For Cloud Believers
FOR CLOUD BELIEVERS
No one likes the idea that clouds don’t exist.
I hate to burst everyone’s bubble
But I’m sorry - rainbows too only subsist
In your point of view, check it with Hubble.
Nor does darkness have any presence. Behold -
Only spaces where light hasn’t yet perpetrated!
Nor does science recognize the existence of cold;
Only places where heat hasn’t penetrated
And a candle flame isn’t really there;
Just a hot gas mixture - no difference
To the surrounding gases, including air.
It has merely reached incandescence.
And emptiness doesn’t exist, just degrees
Of fullness. And black isn’t there - it’s just
The absence of yellows, blues, greens. . . . .
Oh, is there nothing left I can trust?
