Football Mania Victim's Hysteria

“Woe is me,” when football season closes
Crimson Tide lost in a sea of roses
     Tampa Bucs, Tide, Seminoles
To “off” my remote just strolls
I’ll use TM for football osmosis

My Coach Bowden-signed football is glass-encased
How do I endure the trauma I’ve faced?
     With my pompoms cast aside
     “Six-month drought!” I cried
“It would hurt less to have my face replaced.”

I bet it would be a ball to watch you and Linda Marie watching football together. You both seem so crazy about it... Cool poem Carolyn Congratulations to you for the big number 1 !

Cheers to you, Carolyn! I love to see your name in the winners' circle. It's a humorous and dramatic limerick....you must love football to write such a passionate poem! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving day with your friends. Enjoy your weekend...the weather is getting a bit chilly, but we had warm weather for the past four days. It's always a pleasure to hear from you. Hugs, Andrew.

Congratulations on winning with this entry, Carolyn. None of the local college football teams around my way are having decent seasons. Forget the Eagles; their playoff hopes are lost. Your writing is once again quite exceptional.

Hey! Try the Big 10 (really 11) Most of the eastern teams would run rough shod over the best in the Big 10 this year. When I think of LOuisiana State or Alabama playing the Big 10s finest, I cringe in horror. Love, daver
