Inspired by "Song of Yesterday" by Black Country Communion

-----------------------------------------

Listen to poem:
------------------------------------------------- Spread your wings wide, my dear dear love so true, Enough of this tough stuff that's all black-blue Together, there's no stopping what we'll do. Start flapping baby, let's carry this through. Gonna' fly us away. Gonna' fly us away. Baby, I'm reaching out to you With a song of yesterday. Let's soar together as one, hand in hand. Through the green valleys and brown mountains grand, Through the silver clouds, under the rainbow. Onward we'll fly leaving the sky to glow. Gonna' fly us away. Gonna' fly us away. Baby, I'm reaching out to you With a song of yesterday. How can I know where the bitter end starts When the rock is gonna' fall on our hearts. I pull back the veil, I'm still here waiting. For the lift-off to get up get flying. Gonna' fly us away. Gonna' fly us away. Baby, I'm reaching out to you With a song of yesterday. In the freezing night, an oil lamp flame burns, Soon the sun's fire and light will return. Come on baby, it's time to go flying Stop living like a livid ghost haunting. Gonna' fly us away. Gonna' fly us away. Baby, I'm reaching out to you With a song of yesterday.
