Flowers In Her Hair

Never met anyone so true Love all the gentle things you do Hand in hand we walk for hours You bend down gently, pick me pretty flowers I wear them proudly in my hair When I’m with you I float on air I adore the way you caress my skin Kiss my willing lips on a crazy whim Make me laugh with a silly joke Say words as softly as a butterfly's stroke These things you do because you care I hope forever you will always be there Life’s twists and turns can cause us pain With you I’ll dance in the pouring rain You kiss away my salty tears Hold me close, allay my fears Rainbows and dreams are now in my life Losing you now would cut like a knife My life I share with you my love You’re an angel sent from heaven above ~Awarded 2nd place in contest sponsored by Kelly Deschler~ 6th June 2014

I was inspired by Darren when I wrote this as he used to write such lovely romantic poems himself - he always used to encourage me to step out of my comfort zone and I think it was one of my first attempts at a romantic style poem :-) Hugs Jan xx
