THANKS TO ALL FOR ENTERING THE CONTEST - I AM OVERWHELMED WITH THE RESPONSE AND THE FACT THE CONTEST HAS CLOSED AFTER ONLY 2 DAYS. I AM SORRY IF ANYONE WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY DID NOT GET TO ENTER THEIR POEM - I WILL WILL RUN ANOTHER CONTEST AS SOON AS POSSIBLE

Flood Warning

There may be a flood in the Isle of Man
From the bladder of poetry Jan
There is no denying
Inco pads I’ll be buying
I’ll judge the contest as fast as I can

Thanks Armand - it was a great learning process but now I have broken my duck with the contest I know where I went wrong with my blog and contest rules - a great learning experience for me - everyone placed in this contest:-) Hugs jan xx

I am just reading through the entries now Jack i never dreamed it would be so hard to do - everyone will get a place - there are several first places so far - will get hubby to go over my initial thoughts and will see if he agrees and help me with the ones i am not sure where to place:-) hugs Jan xx

Hi Jan, I am so sorry I missed your first completed contest. It sold out faster than a rolling stone concert. Good luck with the judging I know you will do a stirling job. Hope you don"t leek to much poetry Jan//Might be better to read in the can// Of course there's always the mop//And hubby can push it non stop//still behind a bush may be the best plan. Oh and yes I loved your Limerick, you write them so well. take care little Ninja Naj love Shane xxx

You are NOT alone Jan... I laughed so hard I peed in my Depends...However, like you, there was an extensive flood and I've run out...Now I gotta mop the floor, shampoo the carpet, jump in the shower, change clothes and run down to the store where I always tell the cashier: 'These are for a friend'...

I am sure you will have done a great one Tim:-) The poems that make me laugh the most will get the top spots - you must remember what I find amusing may not be what everyone else finds funny so it will be down to my personal choice at the end of the day:-) I have read none of the poems yet - the judging bit is scary:-) Hugs jan xx
