Fleeting Glances
A game of flirtation played with the eyes
Trying to unlock the treasure of her smile
Heart strings play, as melodies rise
But fleeting glances only last a while
There is a chance that love may bloom
Just have to read between the lines
To see if it's sunshine, or clouds of gloom
The heart knows all the signs
Then, like a sunrise in summer's dawn
You see the golden glow of a smile
You bask in its glow before it is gone
As the smile echoes on for miles
