First Day In the Apartment

walls with a fresh coat of white light through the window a song just heard fills my thoughts the silence of nothingness I call my life my own moved out from the fraternity I play a song once heard in the ease of solitude I live at the edge of town the college campus blocks away I stand alone on a balcony and look at a spread of land a farmer drives his tractor just like my uncle when I was a child in a gust of wind I hear his voice again

Love your poetry. Like this one, that haunting nostalgia wrapped in there. SO GOOD.
