First and Last Time
A sinner cried out in pain,
(under intense momentary duress)
with sincere tears of repentance genuine
Remorseful heart
giving a bitter weep vow for the last time
Confessions aired to the firmament;
err prayer echoed on knees bent,
truly for the first time
Arising in the dawn of a new beginning,
temptation calls
for an afternoon visitation
Thus, before evening falls,
atoned dead sin has revived again
And the sharp, double-edged Spirit of God
has cleaved the dull mind
for the last time
