Firefly

I am a foolish firefly Falling in love with the feeling of being burnt alive by your aura I kneel in prostration Below your feet To collect mere shells from your ocean of infinite wisdom And soon, I began drifting like a piece of straw in a current of flowing streams Floating through the waves of time and space Bending and breaking to your divine will My ego shatters in my desire to reach you I set ablaze my lust for worldly desire Seeking to escape this abyss of material degradation In your name and through your ways I am reborn as the coolness in your eyes Amidst the heights of sublime spiritual serendipity
