Firefly
A little bit country under those city lights,
a little bit city goin’ down that county road;
A wild vagabond spirit, soul filled eyes;
Restless to the point of burning
to turn this world completely upside down;
I never want to be done learning;
Sitting up about a mile high
your eyes light up that crystal sky;
Burning hotter, daring me
‘just a little bit faster’;
A constant battle between
staying still and wandering;
What happens if I give a little more
take it just a little bit higher?
I’m a little more fit for the stars;
leaving a map and a trail of sparks
Dancing with a fire fueled gypsy heart
creating a brand new galaxy;
The soul of the city and the fire of the country.
