Felix the Cat
If you’re wise and value your life
Take heed, don’t wake up the wife
Spill some cat treats on her bed
Let the cat get the blame instead,
If your wife reads you the law
Just kindly say, “Talk to the paw”
A trial without a jury
will put you in a state of fury.
Preponderance of the evidence would make no claim
To prove one is guilty and leave them in shame,
Think twice about the way you behave
Which do you want, your life or the grave?
This poor innocent cat has taken the rap
Freedom rang for you, next time set a new trap
Give it one more try, wake her from her slumber?
Call her, then say “sorry wrong number”.
You fooled her once and tried twice
Do you think that was naughty or nice?
You were sly and mischievous to do all of that
I remember the bag of tricks, but are you Felix the cat?
