Feeling Good

FEELING GOOD The moment is charged Out of God’s blue heaven I’m feeling fine I haven’t checked the weather, But it must be cloudless and bright There is a chattering alive from somewhere out there The wild creatures must feel it too, This urge to shout nonsense, To throw hands in the air, This gathering of all heaviness And with a meaningful pat, expand! Stupid me To sit and rationalize Instead of striding forth (what is it about this particular morning?) (has some sudden cure been miraculously realized?) And I sit And I sit, Not daring to glance outside Alas the cat wants out, Insisting with such energy That all my own drains away And I shout, “DAMN CAT!” Dave Austin

Hello Daver, lol you should have kicked that cat for ruining the moment of not wanting to know. :) Now get you lazy up, and let him out. Hope it was raining. Love SKAT

this is strange that you do not want to go striding out with the cat!! It seems to contradict feeling good (unless your idea of that is to stay inside) Sometimes I prefer just to hibernate too!! Love the ending of this one, Daver.

Seems that with me feeling good is a thing of the moment, kind of unbelievable. I won't complain though when I have such a good buddy such as yourself to talk to. Love, daver

Hi Dave! These feel-good moments usually follow a good night's sleep; they make up for the feel-bad ones!! You make it sound delightful, even before you have set eyes on the outside world. AS for the cat...:)) // paul
