you’re nameless and faceless
some shun you, claiming your existence is baseless
you’ve been with me right from the start,
always together, never apart
you’ve spoken to me softly over the years
sometimes your wisdom reduces me to tears
you’ve talked with me quietly, sometimes loudly--your voice loud and deep
your words I’ve learned to rely upon and keep
you’ve never forsaken me even when I ignored you making you doubt
in your very existence and in your clout
you’ve stayed with me regardless, always close at hand
your insights I’ve come to trust and understand
you’ve never sent me astray
keeping dangerous situations and toxic people at bay
you’ve always provided me with life’s provisions
saving me from horrible decisions and almost certain ruinous collisions
you’ve helped me in discerning little lies
rescuing me from their cloaked, shadowy disguise
I feel twinges when you are near
I cherish you like a beloved friend, my dear
you’ve been and still are near and dear to my heart
know in my life you play a huge part
you’re my featherless angel with keen, panoramic vision
our relationship is more than I could ever envision
you’re the highest form of intelligence
scientists say there’s no such thing as your sixth sense or your eloquence
you’re a sensation, a frequency, an internal vibe
one of which I consistently imbibe
you’re as real as any person I know
because of you, I have few fears, no need to lay low
you’re my intuition, don’t ya know
