Fear of Love

Love so inviting Until the icicle formation Of tears suddenly returns So sharp, so cold, so clear Fear drips slowly into the mind With impulse to run far away Much easier to be alone Until it melts as it may Never knowing if trust will emerge With the next sunrise, Hoping, waiting to see Trying to hold onto reminders Not each one is the same And the love so inviting Will remain Heidi Sands

I agree w/Victor, a wonderful poem. Heidi. I love the line ... much easier to be alone until it melts as it may. Your muse is in a groove on this one. Excellent write. It is going into the fave. Love always. RW

It is hard to fall in love and trust again when you have been hurt by one you loved, I know how this feels. You walk on eggshells and constantly question motives and intentions, but I believe love can happen again and will and when it is the right one, you will know. This was sad but beautifully sad Heidi. You heart shows in this piece.
