Far from the sun

My bed starts to melt I rise and float, gazing down Trying to remember where or why Never really had a chance I exit through a broken window An ocean of speeding faces underneath Blending into a gray lump All looking up at me The crowd moves in unison I look closer and it’s your face Printed on every head And all your faces are watching Flying above our city Streets mangled with guilt Breathing the sickness An anti-world world In another place Far from the sun I’ll be washed by darkness A silence will put me to sleep In my dreams there will be nothing But a lone tree standing in a field Where I sit and wait, for Armageddon
