False Representatives
We send them forth
To speak for us
So we think
They run off in haste
They don't look at us
They don't speak for us
They don't remember us
They don't want to see us
Nothing solid is contained in them
Like empty drums making the loudest bangs
Their pay must be trippled they say
And to the banks run when it is paid
Like round cooking pot
With time, their bellies become
Once looking like us
But now their skin shines
When we knock on their doors
Wild dogs they become and bark at us
Like electricity they spark
And order us out
See our representatives
We thought would represent us
They feed on our money
And their flesh puffs out
They eat and grow fat
And leave us in lack
They speak and and grow tired
Oh! How they crave for air
You should watch them sleep
They grunt and snore
And their women cover their ears
In sparkling cars they pass
Splashing dirt on us
With time this will pass
We hope and pray.
