*inspired by Susan Manley recording singing her lyrics, I recorded this in a whim without planning the tune. It was done in one take in a car park - no take two as car park became full and I'll leave it here, it's not doing any harm and it shows it could be better with a bit of effort
Listen to poem:
"nights were mainly made for saying things that you can't say tomorrow day"
Artic Monkeys
(turns out I'd misheard 'crawlin back to you' as 'fallin into you' - so I wrote a different song for no reason really. Just about being back at work after having fun chatting rubbish with friends and thinking I was the bee's knees dancing in a dive bar. I've coaxed the tune from 'Do I Wanna Know'to fit this too)
Sore throat is matched by a ragged aggravation somewhere in my chest
Wearing myself out, thinking I always need to do what's best
My opinion, I don't know what it counts for
I need to settle myself, or show myself the door
Falling into you, calm me down
Falling into you, bring me round
Falling into you
I let myself off the leash, feasted on divine
Awakened, now it's hard to stop my mind
Knowing more, about how I could be
Close my eyes, need to train myself not to see
Falling into you, calm me down
Falling into you, bring me round
Falling into you
