Falling

Through space dark and cold It was a dream, I was falling Falling helplessly uncontrolled In the night breathlessly calling Like a child alone and afraid Just me there, this empty space Nightmares cold cruel masquerade Taunting me behind a devils face Me too feeble, too weak to evade Knowing well I was about to expire In this crazy place of crazy dreams Feeling the heat from a devils fire And then passing to heaven it seems Finally ending this voyage through hell As I awoke there safe in my bed Having not to have slept very well With that nightmare in my head
