Falling

It snowed yesterday night, all night! Opened my eyes at midnight, And through the glass window, Watched the snow falling! Falling, Falling, Falling! Uninterrupted, but mysteriously beautiful! Unilluminated, dark sky, white fluffy snow - I felt mesmerized! Glanced out the window a bit - Everything is pristine white! Or silver! The lawn, the rooftops, the chimneys, The Rose-bushes, the Willow spreading its branches, One tall evergreen - decked like a Queen, With snow-pellets hanging from every leaf, The cars in the driveway in slumber, blanketed by the white stuff, Oh, in the morning, it's going to be hard work! I want to walk in the snow, at midnight! Walk Walk And Walk ! Snow falling all around me, Moonless sky over my head, Stars not visible, but Perhaps witnessing my journey, And gently guiding me to a destination of my dream!

What a captivating piece of marvel! I love the parting line, "And gently guiding me to a destination of my dream!" Stars are always there! and this poem shines like a star on a moonless night.

What a dreamy landscape you paint with words, Mala. The mystique and charm of a midnight snow that lures you out into the cold air to be one with its magic. Best wishes in the 'Falling' contest, my new poetry friend! ~ John
