Fallen

mingled with flowers lovingly placed as tribute . . . scented leaves gather fallen like our soldier boy they brightly blanket his grave Nov. 11, 2019 for Kim Rodrigues' Scented Leaves Poetry Contest My gratitude to our veterans, for all who have died in the service of our country and to those currently serving.

Wow. Strong words, written simply, and with a softly feathered pen. Graceful... a knowing of the pain that every pedal represents... Ann

I don't use the word 'awesome' much, but that's what this poem is, Andrea. You have come up with the most touching tribute to veterans imaginable using the the motif of 'scented leaves.' Awesome! A FAVE right away. Bravo! Cheers, Gershon
