Soon we will experience this. Football scason and red and gold leaves. The summer passes all too quickly. Very evocative poem.

Just a couple of miles from our place in upstate SC, there is a field of tomatoes they are just finishing up. Haven't seen the pumpkins yet but am looking. Very good visual, all three lines. Charles

LOL We harvest tomatoes in June in Florida, but pumpkins are a sure sign of autumn's approach...even though there won't be a nip in the Florida air until December. Great haiku, LNC! Love, Carolyn

Great Haiku that reminds me that the pumpkin vines are running everywhere out there in the garden..We haven't exactly had a nip yet even though it was cooler today because of cloud cover but it rained and the humidity is very high...Enjoyed the read..Sara

Nice use of imagery for the up coming season. After all the hot humid weather lately, I wouldn't mind a bit of "nip." This must be for a contest--if so, best wishes. I haven't been at The Soup much lately. I hope you are doing well. Keep on writing! Have a wonderful weekend. Karen
