Fake White Supremacy
Dedication: Heather Heyer, Paralegal (Charlottesville, VA)
A Governor named Terry understands fake Supremacy
Microcosm of America, terrorism in Virginia
In the Name of History and a Statue (of General Lee)
I was but eight, when I felt shame because of hate
My own: a girl at school (perhaps a victim) wanted to fight
We slapped each other in the classroom: It didn't feel right
No witnesses but some gentler spirit intervened
I have treated women as gently as I could since
My surviving daughters are angels; and I their prince!
Unless we love (or avoid hate), life is a vulgar walk
Stepping over slimy snakes here, vamp cats and dark
Things there ... putrid puddles everywhere; gone the idyllic park
How can reliving the Nazi way seem so desirable
And in America? Where Equality became Reality, the individual
Could be special, without royal blood, New World still available?
