FAITH IN GOD WHO WARNS US AGAINST OFFENDING HIM
God warns us against offending Him with our sinfulness
Now we admit our wrong deeds of wickedness
Indeed, begging by faith for His forgiveness
So we can be cleansed to walk along paths of righteousness.
God warns us against offending Him with our transgression
Now we repent with our sincere confession
Indeed, needing by faith His pardon and compassion
So we can be sanctified to see His heavenly vision.
God warns us against offending Him with our iniquity
Now we turn to Him, ashamed of our impurity
Indeed, seeking by faith His grace and pity
So we can be purged toward holiness’ security.
God warns us against offending Him with our lack of trust
Now we cast to Him our care including our carnal lust
Indeed, pleading by faith for His mercy that does not rust
So we can be protected against doubts with its unbelief’s crust.
God warns us against offending Him with our pride
Now we humble before Him and in His protection, we hide
Indeed, surrendering by faith to His winning side
So we can be guarded while in His Word we abide.
God warns us against offending Him with our irresponsible stewardship
Now we learn from Him midst Scriptural discipleship
Indeed, beseeching by faith His wise leadership
So we can be governed rightly even in our diligent partnership.
God warns us against offending Him with our hypocrisy
Now we stay true to Him, aware of His excellency
Indeed, exalting by faith His name with sincere fervency
So we can be productive in our service of honest persistency.
