Fairy Tale Affair
Please forgive me if I did not see you there
You see, I was trying very hard not to stare
Be assured, I was distracted by your grace,
Your flowing red hair, and your lovely face,
An appropriate lie, I claim not to have seen
When, really, I saw a perfect beauty queen,
I was wondering how to get an introduction
Frankly, I even pondered a bit of seduction,
No idea the fates would chance us to meet
At a concert, beside me, you took your seat,
The beginning of a wonderful fairy tale affair
When I first saw you, and I tried not to stare.
