Fairy Tale Affair

Please forgive me if I did not see you there You see, I was trying very hard not to stare Be assured, I was distracted by your grace, Your flowing red hair, and your lovely face, An appropriate lie, I claim not to have seen When, really, I saw a perfect beauty queen, I was wondering how to get an introduction Frankly, I even pondered a bit of seduction, No idea the fates would chance us to meet At a concert, beside me, you took your seat, The beginning of a wonderful fairy tale affair When I first saw you, and I tried not to stare.

Don't leave us hanging, Milton. Did you ask her out and get the date? Enquiring minds want to know:) BTW, excellent poem even if you won't tell. Cheerios, Terry

"beginning of a wonderful fairy tale affair, Terry." Actually, it is fiction. As I mentioned below, however, when I met Deborah it was love at first sight and we were married about four months later, and it lasted for 35 years. Pretty good, I'd say.

This is pure fiction, Ilene, although it WAS love at first sight when I met Deborah, and we were married about four months later and it lasted for thirty-five years until her death almost four years ago.
