Fading

My cover is worn and torn,
  and I’m nearly spineless.
  The ink is barely visible
  within my fading pages.
  I dare you to take a look.
  Read me before I am gone.
  My words will last a lifetime 
  physically I’m fading away!
  But my imprint will not fade.
